which flower I like to take pix of, I have done way more rose pix but I really like dahlias too. I just learned that the North Coast of Calif and up into Oregon has a lot of dahlia farms. They are waning now but come August they are beginning to fully flower. I plan a several days trip up that way then and on into Brookings where I can get pix of coastal plants and flowers and the coast itself.
My wife took that rose pic to a woman who does extraordinary embroidery and is having it embroidered onto a levi jacket.
3 years ago I took 2 rose plants from the first day of a leaf after winter and took AM & PM pix of both from all angles, this went on until they bloomed. Over 250 pix in the series. Many are abstract colors and patterns that are out of focus on purpose. They are among my favorite pix, maybe not so much for others though. Here is an example

...... is wonderful to behold.
Do a series. I think folks would appreciate it. Your call, of course.
But it could be fun.

might as well have a Bud (rose that is) of the Day along with the CotD.
.... as will many, many other members, I am sure. :-)
started this AM up higher on the board. As I said they are not all stunning but I think they are interesting because of their shapes and colors and tiny details that one hardly ever pays attention to in the garden...
I also added the dates & times so one can get an idea of the available light and the cycle of the blooming timetable....
