over Kansas St.
Not exactly enough to put them this high, one could argue.
Meanwhile, teams that play tough teams and get beaten get hammered in the rankings.
The SEC appears to have a bit of a rigged system going for it.
No arguing the superiority of Alabama, though.
How would Miss do against Stanford?
How about Auburn?
Most SEC teams play fewer in-conference games, padding their schedules with FCS weaklings.
Look at last year. The Gamecocks were rated top 5 at season's end.
What?
They lost to Tennessee. Yes, the crappy Vols.
And to overrated Georgia, too.
They barely beat FL. Another crummy team, last year.
And squeaked by Kentucky.
Jeesh!
In their behalf, they did beat Wisconsin at season's end...

What evidence do you have that the SEC has managed to foist a "rigged system" upon the American public? This is the sort of mentality one encounters on the Internet. I'm curious, who has the SEC bribed/recruited in order to allow them to rig the system? Is the fix in with the analysts at ESPN? The AP? The coaches? How did the SEC manage to do this? Cash inducements? Copious amounts of seductive southern belles? And how has the SEC managed to keep this rigged system such a great secret over the years?
Your problem is you want a "world according to Tin" and when life doesn't comport with your wishes you invent various conspiracies and excuses so you don't have to accept the reality that is staring you in the face. Such infantile/delusional behavior is not becoming in adults.
You are not a highly paid football analyst who has earned his lavish salary by being largely correct about his gridiron insights over the years. Instead, you are merely a highly partisan fan who happens to root for Oregon and the pac-12 and is therefore incapable of being objective.
Your partisanship blinds you. You appear incapable of exercising even a modicum of objectivity when it comes to college football. But by all means, please expand on this bizzaro theory of yours. If nothing else it will amuse the regulars. ~:)
