I figured out how to get here but that's all.
Now I"m lost.
But I love it. It's all true: the keyboard, the screen, the size and weight.....
Windows since 198something; this will take some study.

Like bullet says, get a driver's training book. It's an easy machine, but it does stuff that will make a book purchase worthwhile.
Mac is soon to release its new OSX 10 op system (code named "Yosemite"). I advise waiting 6 months before upgrading to it. Let others test drive and crash it for awhile before buying.
did you have any options added...SSD, more RAM etc?
It's the base 13" with 128GB SSD, 1.4 mHz (whatever that is) and 4GB of RAM.
"Base", my ass! No glare, none, screen, standard backlit keyboard that feels like a KEY-board.
The Lenovo G500S I though was a "lap"-top is '78 Buick compared to the latest McLaren. And no more Windows Hate.

10 years ago almost. Once I learned the system ( I hired an Apple tech to come to my home for 2 hours to set up and teach the basics..80 bucks an hour, well worth it)
Looking to get the Mac Mini for a dedicated server for tunes.
Using a beast of a Mac Pro with 8 hard drives hooked up and 18 gigs of RAM.
Wish to use a dedicated server now...
Wouldn't use anything else now. No more periodic re-boots to make things run well again. Very few system updates require re-boot. And if they do, re-boot takes maybe 20 seconds instead of several minutes. Light and bright. No more lugging around heavy laptop and associated clunky power supplies. Battery lasts 12-13 hours or more. Keyboard has a great "feel".
I'll never go back to Windoze. Once you convert your mind from "Windows"thinking to "Mac OS" thinking, you'll love it. And that doesn't take very long.

I bought my first mac with macosx over a decade ago, get MacOSX for dummies or something, takes some getting used to but that it a good move.
god bless you! I use Linux and ChromeOS, but MacOSX is a great operating system for people who need a change and don't want to become test subjects for the future.
All this Mac talk makes me want to get a Mac but I don't like iTunes, iPods, iPhones, iCrapper, iWatch, i, i whatever....
good for you man I would recommend getting a book to learn the ins and outs, in a month or two you'll be in a good plane of existance.
