Satisfy your craving for collecting both old vintage cameras and Fatherland memorabilia with this single item: an old Leica rangefinder.
Follow Ups:
The original Leica factory became part of East Germany and they cranked those things out by the tens of thousands in the late 40's and 50's. Quality is raw. Nice shelf item, though.
Nice cameras. Danged nice cameras.
oh, BTW, it's "sieg heil", mit ein 's', kein 'z'.
all the best,
mrh
Just saying.
Wow, they took lots of stuff after the war, eh? (or maybe just copied a bunch of stuff.) I know they (maybe) still sell 'WWII vintage' BMW motorcycles too ... a friend bought one with a sidecar, it came in crates and he assembled it. Pretty cool actually.I also have some Tesla E83CC tubes that are 'clones' of the $$$$ Telefunken ECC803S (12AX7 type) tubes. The parts/machines were bought by the Czech company at some point (1968? or so). Closest I'll ever get to owning some ECC803Ss, that's for sure!
