It's only Fresno St, but an 87 yard drive is sweet. A few true freshman picking up key yardage and one that held on to a pass when the hammer thumped him. Next week, Stanford. Think that new up tempo stuff will fool them, RW?
Alabama didn't look as good as their ranking. I was surprised to see Lane Kiffen on the sidelines as their new Offensive Coordinator.
Second drive, another score for SC, this one is looking like a rout.
Next up LSU, I can't lie, I'm a Badger fan today.

Follow Ups:
As for the PAC-12, I think ASU and OSU maybe sleepers. We'll see about USC, when they go to Stanford. UCLA has a tough schedule. Texas, ASU, Oregon 3 weeks outta four.
So, should know if USC and UCLA are legit by end of September.
He didn't do squat at Washington, but he was good at selling himself.
And USC bought him.
True. Sarkisian did take Washington from an 0-12 team to a 7-6 team, beat SC a couple times and did it with weak talent for the Pac 12. Whether he'll be any better than another Carroll era retread is anyone's guess right now. So far, he looks like a genius with a ton of Freshman talent.
Ask me again next week.

a little hammered, at the moment.
that have come up as a result of this game. Not the least among them is the much acclaimed rookie sensation running back. Looks like it'll take some time for him to acclimate playing with the big boys.
Watched a cupla Dux possessions, really can't tell much as they made So. Dakota their bitch early on. They definitely appear to be a playoff caliber club.

I was flipping around and visiting with my daughter before she took off for Alaska, so I missed most of the second half. For the recap in the paper, a couple of D line injuries didn't hurt LSU.
-Rod
but the two defensive linemen injuries, which they could ill afford given their lack of depth at the position, had a lot to do with their 4th Q breakdown. I think all of our teams we pull for here, with the exception of tin's, have pretty big holes that are gonna keep them out of the playoffs.

You're right about the holes. The Pac-12 race will be a lot clearer after next week with SC/Stanford and Oregon/Michigan. I suspect that Oregon will prevail with the big question being their D and the margin.
Still, Oregon will have to play UCLA at the Rose Bowl and Stanford a few weeks later. Then a rematch with UCLA or SC in the conference champ game.
SC is loaded with young talent and Kessler is finally looking like a real contender with 394 yards passing to 10 different targets, several being true Freshman. But the sanctions are still limiting the depth which has been our nemesis for the last several years.
It looks like your Tigers have a long break until you head to Auburn in October, and then a nasty November with Alabama and A&M.

Our inside LB corps is weak. Our D line has two guys 6'7" and 300 pounds. They're good on pass downs, movable on runs: it must be center of gravity. They got moved by S. D. linemen. Bullied.
We ain't makin' no stinkin' playoffs playing like this.
GMAB, Tinman. Oregon should look great against South Dakota too.
But yeah, next week is the season for Stanford and SC. Stanford can come back by beating Oregon and SC would have to knock off UCLA and a replay with Stanford.
LSU/Wisconsin is shaping up to be the game of the day.
-Rod
but Stanford will eat USC's lunch. The University of Sexy Cheerleaders have little chance against the lines of Stanford, offense and defense.
Rod, now see what UCLA does...
I watched some of the UCLA game on and off. And you likely know, any season with a loss to UCLA is a losing season for SC.
UCLA is very good and I'm a fan since my youngest is a student there. It's great that they started being a power for him as long as they lose to SC which hasn't been the case lately.
Still, the D saved their bacon today. Hundley didn't have a good day or the line sucked. I hope he'll have a similar game when SC heads to the Rose Bowl.
What about Wisconsin? 45 yard run against LSU for a TD. You can't count out those Tigers.

One game, he's insane and the next, a goat.
It seems like Virginia's D had his number though.
