I have used mine for 6 or 7 years. It ships to Calif with the scrambler disabled as jammers are against the law here. A phone call to their 800 number gives you the sequence of button pushing to turn the scrambler on, this is just done once.
No problems at all with the unit since I bought it. It has saved my bacon numerous times. Do I feel guilty about using an illegal device? Why should I?
Did I mention the dash board switch that allows me to turn off the brake lights if I happen to have a sudden need to slow way down way fast?
Follow Ups:
A friend of mine rented a brand new SUV that came with new gadgets to make driving less stressful. Anyway, he was driving from LA to San Francisco and while cruising at a constant speed to keep the safe distances between the car behind him and the one in front, he would hear a weird noise inside the cab, every now and then. He thought there was something wrong with the engine...as he was about to pull over to investigate, but, the cop beat him to it. Needless to say, he received a speeding ticket. And oh, that noise he heard, it came from the built-in car radar system warning, which basically asking him to slow down.
He told me the built-in car radar system was a useless piece of crap, because it didn't save him from having a speeding ticket...Duh! He should have gone over its operating manual before driving it...

Crazy! Bet he's aware of that tone, now.
Thanks, Larry for the tip on the Rocky Mtn Device. Just got a 2006 Honda S2000 (F22, AP2). Fun-mobile.
Picked up an '05 a few months back. Fun indeed...
10W-40?
thanks!
Full synthetic for sure. The car had just had an oil change when I picked it up, and I haven't put that many miles on it yet. Before I put it away for the winter, it will get the royal treatment, since I'll never sell this car.
