...in OR pinot is about it.
How about cabs, zins, syrahs, chardonnays?
The best ones are from CA along with terrific pinots.

Agreed, except for sparkling wines. Robert Parker has long maintained that Oregon has the lead in that category.
...whose brother-in-law owns a winery in OR producing pinot noir?
When I drink sparkling wine, I prefer the CA ones like Roederer Estate.
Also Domain Carneros and Mumm Napa.
Snippet: The Wine Advocate founder Robert Parker, whose 100-point rating system has served as an industry benchmark for decades, will step down as editor-in-chief of the newsletter. In his note to subscribers, Parker said he plans to keep reviewing wines for the publication.
“I will continue to comprehensively cover Bordeaux, the Rhone, retrospectives on California vintages, and profiles of under $25 wine bargains from our finest importers,” he said.
Your implication that Parker's preference for Oregon's sparkling wines is somehow due to the fact his brother-in-law is a Pinot Noir producer in Oregon is quite a stretch (even for you).
Moreover, a quick glance at Parker's chief competition, the Wine Spectator, reveals that Roederer Estate, Domaine Carneros and Mumm Napa have produced a great many sub 90 point sparklers over the years. ~:)

I suspect the Wine Specatator has at least two or three times the subscribers/readers of Parker's newsletter; i.e. he's not much competition.
I can't name an OR sparkling wine. Are you saying OR sparklers have never rated below 90pts? :-0

and that I noted Parker thinks Oregon's sparklers are superior to Calis, here’s what you wrote in reply: “The retired Robt. Parker? whose brother-in-law owns a winery in OR producing pinot noir?”
Based on that, how would one know you were off on another tangent implying that is why Parker thinks "OR pinots are the best," to use your phrase?
"I suspect the Wine Specatator has at least two or three times the subscribers/readers of Parker's newsletter; i.e. he's not much competition."
Oh dear, more confusion on your part. I wrote that the WS was **Parker's** chief competition, not the other way around. Just as Nike is the chief competition for any other athletic shoe manufacturer.
"I can't name an OR sparkling wine."
I believe you. And that speaks volumes about your limited knowledge of domestic wines. To use but one example, being ignorant of Argyle's history with sparkling wine is akin to one who claims to be an avid audio hobbyist never having heard of Audio Research.
"Are you saying OR sparklers have never rated below 90pts?"
No. What I'm saying is that countless California sparklers have. ~:)
...yes, the subject **you** raised.
I have been to the Argyle winery with all of the tour buses parked in their lot.
Obviously their sparkler didn't impress me and neither did their very light 90pt pinot.
More like NAD than ARC.

...that would be with you in his Burger King tax post.
