We just saw some type of monstrosity that seemed to be cleaning the railroad tracks. Huge brush and lots of dust and or steam and dirt being blown into a car behind the "thing". I've lived around rail tracks my entire life, but never saw anything like that.
I want the nitty gritty on that thing, so I can buy one to clean my driveway.
There is no such thing as too many records.
There is just too little room for them!
But Al doesn't post on Central, nor has he been around Vinyl much lately, either.

Somewhere I have a picture of one of them on a rail surfacing crew in action if I can find it I'll post it. BTW I work for Canadian pacific Rail.. I've talked with Al a few times and have noted his absence, where he be? AAMOF we just had a major derail here in the Chicago area last Sunday afternoon 2 trains.. Shermer Road, they'll probably be resurfacing the whole area once they clean up the damage.

And for the life of me can't remember who the engineer is that you're thinking of. Maybe if he gets off the tracks in time to see this post he'll reveal himself.

Yup thats a sweeper they use that to clean after they run a Ballast Regulator thru. Ballast is the gravel under the tracks and they vibrate it with fingers into the "Ballast" it's a long machine and in front is a Laser controlled leveling system. Pretty high tech stuff. But yeah a sweeper .. isn't that what the Patriots used in that game to clear for the field goal???

That's one of them vibratin' machines that only German and Japanese porn stars can use, innit? Don't ask me how I know that, BTW...
