I came back this morning to delete my rather classless and tasteless response, but now I can't.

I'm very happy for you, your family, and perhaps most importantly, the dog, and I apologize for my lack of empathy, as well as my poor judgment.

  no problem, Jim! Didn't read anything negative into your earlier response at all. Eating a corn cob deserves some laughs, but I hope only once.
  
  pup looks good this a.m. She's going to be a hungry dog tho. She's such a pig that this water only all day diet is not going to be her favorite! She gets a bit of bland food tonight, if she can handle the H2O. She has 2 slits x 2" in her intestines, plus the big entry hole on her tummy. She should heal fast.
