The thread and supply you were pointing to is for G2, or the screen, in a Pentode Final stage supply, which is differeent in requirements than a B+ supply to early or final triode stages.
Here is the best URL that states low DCR in audio amp theory, from an impeccable source.
( Nullspace had it too!! Thanks. )Jeff Medwin

I do not think I have read so many idiotic comments by self-proclaimed scientists in response to Mr. Medwin's post!Mr. Medwin's merit is proved by how he brings out so many strange strains of religion posing as science. You may consider me a neophyte of the cult of MEDWINISM, if you must. I would be proud to be branded as such.
Until someone discovers something worth exploring there is nothing to analyze. Thank GOD for those who will ignore the chorus of the intelligentsia and go ahead and DO something that makes sense to them. Then, to be able to remove the EGO and listen to the "creation" and honestly appraise its worth, I am in awe.
I have not been able to duplicate properly Medwin's supplies because I have not the proper parts, but I have used partts that come close enough to see there is something important here.
He has simply synthesized what many have sugggested over many years but has connected the dots between the thoughts of many.
One thing has always remained true, that BRUTE force is the way of perfectionist audio. No, it will never work for consumer audio. Let them regulate (synthesize) as best they can. But, now with two channel audio returning to its hobbyist roots it only makes sense for the DIY'er to make something that no manufacturer ever could market. No need to imitate what the market has provided. Why bother, anyway?
I thank Mr. Medwin for sharing his knowledge and experience ( the root of all science).
Thanks to Mr. Lefevre for his comments. I am humbled by my incorrect assumptions and must thank him for his continuing efforts to offer us good stuff. Thanks, also, for his generous offer to try to accomodate those of us whose appetites exceed their means at a given moment (any given moment?!!!)
I prefer low DCR supplies for all quality audio stages, one stage's requirement is not less critical than the other. Each must stand on its own.
