Wow! I really like the aesthetics - a beautiful system to my way of thinking. I bet it sounds wonderful also.
I am feeling envious right now.
Cheers,

Driver for 801A amp: none, one tube only. I was using a 1:4 (or was it a 1:8) step up transformer but I removed it ... I just need mW here
EIMAC amp: too hot and too heavy to move them 3 floors upstairs with no elevator, they are sitting in my parents home but I will not dismantle them. 75TL are sounding ... well you need to listen to them
Which driver tubes are you using on your 801 amp?
So... what happened to your EIMAC amps? :)

To infinity and beyond!!!
Beautiful setup. Please provide porn details on the crossovers and amps.

well ... xover. I am using a Beringher CX2310 to drive a VT52 differential amp (IT transformer, tamuras) and a 801A spud amp. Midbass and mid/high crossed with 6dB/oct, so just a cap, inductor and a handful of resistors to attenuate 3dB the 4001
Hello gluca
Do you find the 801a spud (single gain stage? or with input step up transformer?) to have enough gain for the horns?
I like the 393As' glow, beautiful. Are you using the grids as plate? Can you share a schematic of your PS/amp?
Thanks,
David
Hi David
Yes, grid as plate. PSU is a mixed bridge (393A + Schottky diodes) into a LC filter followed by a CCS + C. Final voltage is 500V, the tube will set its plate voltage and the CCS is dropping 20V or so.
Gapped 16k output transformer and zeners under the 801A. Input step-up transformers removed but a (big) 1:4 or 1:8 would work there.
I am using LC filter + Rod Coleman's regulators to heat the 80A's. Amp is dead quite.
I googled but I could not find an updated schematic, sorry.
