Hello Attila:
Both the BH-2 and BCP-15 are supplied with solder lugs in channel frames to which you can attach (solder) your own choice of "flying leads".
The EXO-45 is also supplied in channel frames with solder lugs.
more info and core options can be found at
www.magnequest.us
not all the prices are up to date at the dot US site.
you can order direct through my email which is
acrosound@aol.com
I look forward to hearing from you.
Thanks,

My error, I mis-remembered. It's the BH-1 output transformer that has the flying leads. For use in SEX or Stereomour, either the choke or the OPT must be safe on top of the chassis. I do not believe that a safe insulation can be provided for solder terminals, hence the requirement for flying leads on one or the other.
Consequently, the BCP-15 or BH-2 plus EXO45 is not an acceptable option for Stereomour. Stick with the stock choke, which gives 40 henries at 35mA (80% of the BH-2) but has flying leads. It will mate well with the EXO45 and the stock 3.3uF parafeed cap.

Thanks for the clarification.
The Stereomour upgrade is clear, but it leaves me with an extra stock Steromour OPT, which I intend to use to upgrade my SEX 2.0.
Is it OK to keep the stock SEX 2.0 choke and use it with the stock Stereomour OPT, or is it a better idea to replace the SEX 2.0 choke with a BH-2 in this case?
Thanks
Attila
No. See my previous post; one or the other of the late choke/OPT must go on the top of the chassis and must have hidden connections (flying leads). Of all the components in this discussion, only the Bottlehead PC-3 has that feature.
The Hammond 157G has flying leads, 30 henries at 40mA, and matches the mounting holes. I used it in the working prototypes (they were monoblocks) for the SEX 2.0 and it works well. That's your best option that I know of.
I don't know if you have considered it but the Dowdy plate choke has flying leads and would be great on a 45 tube. I believe that is what it was designed for. I am not sure about the fit on top of the chassis. You would also want to audition some larger value parafeed caps to match with the higher inductance. A little more expensive but pretty much the ultimate for a 45 amp.

Hi Braubeat,
Thanks for the advice, the Dowdy certainly looks tempting.
Do you think there are any significant advantages (i.e. audible difference) other than bass performance that speak for the Dowdy?
Do you may be have any experience with the Dowdy yourself?
@ Mike,
Would you mind sharing the physical dimensions of the Dowdy?
Thanks
Attila
I do not own the Dowdy myself. It's on my list. I have been following the discussions for years. Here is one.
