The input transformer part is pretty simple. If you want to use the transformer 1:1, then the LL1540 is a good choice. If you want to use a 2:1 transformer connection, then you will get wider bandwidth with the LL1545A. For that matter, you could use the LL1545A for 1:1 as well, but it is more expensive.
You will have to give me links to schematics of the various 1176 versions for me to see what the issues regarding output transformers might be.
I'm always happy to provide specific connection diagrams for configurations not covered in the Lundahl data sheets.

here is the Rev A schematic.
Thanks Kevin!

It looks to me like the output transformer was purpose-designed for this circuit. Of course, no info is given regarding turns ratios, impedances, etc., so I can't know for sure, but I strongly doubt that there is a suitable transformer among the Lundahl offerings that will be even close to equivalent.

Thanks Kevin.
I'll stick with the output transformer that I have for now.
As for the input transformer, of the two suggested connections on the 1540 data sheet is any one better suited than the other for this circuit?
I think I read your response on another forum to not use the 12k loading resistors?
Thanks again for your help with all this - much appreciated.
Thanks!

If the source is balanced, you should use the left schematic. The RC network can be deleted for a 600ohmish source impedance.
For a single ended drive source use the right schematic in the data sheet. You do need the 12K resistors in this case.

Thanks Kevin. 600ohm source is what I'm going for.
