Return to K&K Audio / Lundahl Transformers
108.16.206.74
Hello,
I breadboarded a headphone amp that is ready for a box. The amp uses LL1660's in 4.5:1 (load is for triode connected 7788's and headphones are 600ohm DT880's). I'd also like to potentially use the amp as a driver - 1660's would be in 4:4.5 interstage.
Rather than make wiring changes at the transformer pins (under metal covers), I'd to wire each LL1660 pin to some sort of interface terminals (under the hood of the amp) - the Alt Q or S wiring would be done at the interface terminals.
Looking for suggestions for the interface terminals. Would be nice if they were small in size/area, 6 or 12 points, able to be screwed to the top plate of amp, pins solderable, and good to 200V.
Thank You,
Joe

Insulated turrets come to mind for this application. Try Keystone Electronic parts like those seen here: http://www.keyelco.com/products/specs/PTFE-11216-11217.ASP or part # 11513.

Thanks Kevin, good product idea.
If I can find a small turret board of some kind, that will be the ticket.
