Return to K&K Audio / Lundahl Transformers

Dear Mr. Raman,
I, too, am using Peter Daniel's LM3875 amps. I am using four in a bi-amp situation.
I had long wanted to use the LL1676's as input transformers and was inspired by your post to go ahead and do it.
To balance my system I am using them in 1:1 configuration for low pass and 2:1 for high pass (take advantage of the attenuation).
I seem to be having problems figuring out how to ground he transformers.
I am getting what it either oscillation or RFI.
Would you let me know how you handled the grounding of the transformers?
I am not using a box for the amps. The chips are mounted on a 3/8 inch thick rectangle of copper. I am using battery power so the amps are not attached to any ground other than through the interconnect which is connected to Dave Davenport's EXTREME line stage.
I wanted to do away with shielding on the interconnect and figured with transformers "at both ends" this would be simple.
I would greatly appreciate the benefit of your experience.
Thanks,
Rick McInnis
Rick,
Send me an e-mail (click on my moniker) with your phone number. We'll talk over the phone tonight if you would like. That way I'll have the schematic in front of me, etc...
Happy to help you out. And please don't call me 'Mr. Raman.' When somebody does that, I turn around to see if my father is standing behind me!
Anand.
Anand!
You will have to excuse my Southern formality.
I would have sent you this request by email since I suspect we are a very small group: those using transformers on the input of a LM3875!
Maybe the best approach is for you to send me an email and I can then respond with my telephone number or you can give me a number and I can call you. Please specify a time that is convenient for you.
Thanks for your response,
Rick McInnis
