And height maybe. What are the dispersion patterns of the tubes
anyway?. I have the aluminum Transylvania tubes, never really
messed with them yet. What is a typical crossover point freq.?.

I'd imagine take a piece of cardboard 8-12" tall and whatever width that would help support down to 1K. for crossover point, maybe 1K6 . Eminence's old 1K6 2-way crossover (3rd order highpass) might come in a bit lower and that seems comfortable with Dayton's D250p. The subjective dispersion is wide and tall - above 10K, it gets beamy - you my wish to tilt the tube upwards. Do your tubes have the roller pin?

Got it, thanks Fred. Yes, roll pins there. Think I'll first
try Altec 902's.
I never quite "got it" with those roll pins - someone at Transylvania Power Company thought they were beneficial with improving dispersion ... early tubes weren't drilled for that pin
