...a bazillion were sold as kits and sometimes pre-assembled. Could be loaded with any decent 12" full range. Also could load with 12" LF driver + mid horn and horn tweeter. You can see the cutouts for the mid and tweet in your photo.Forgot to mention that info abounds on the web inc. typical loads w/EV drivers and xovers.

See, e.g., link below.
Their 'discontinued products literature' archive is a little tedious to search but to their credit (i.e., whomever owns the "EV" name nowadays) they still have a treasure trove of literature on line for... well, EV nuts like me.
Fortunately, we also have, thanks to a devoted individual, fairly complete archives of very cogent vintage catalogs at www.radioshackcatalogs.com and www.alliedcatalogs.com Look at early 1960s general catalogs and you'll find EV right up near the front of the speaker sections (talk about product placement!).
PS I'd love to have a one (or better yet, a pair) of Aristocrat enclosures -- I've yet to find one or two locally at a reasonable price.
all the best,

Electro-Voice was bought out by the Telex Corp.some years ago. Telex made headsets for pilots. Electro Voice is now based in Burnsville MInnesota and makes and markets commercial and performance PA systems and amps.
I kind of had the impression that it may have changed hands again... but maybe that was just an assumption on my part based on changes in URL a while back (used to be one site to access both EV and Telex lines).
