?? - should go down to around 100Hz and be peppy with say 12pe32. Sensitivity should be high.I have a very nice little horn which goes lower than a proposed mini-Classic but always remain curious plus never got to own a Classic

I'm not very familiar with the University Classic but would this 0.7 version horn be approx 28x22x16 ? That would be pretty cool for smaller rooms. One could add a slim & tall tapped horn to do the lower 40-100hz stuff and still have a relatively small footprint.
I'm not sure what you mean by it's "geometry choking off the top". Would you expect this horn to go from 100 to 800hz? If so one could use an Iwata type horn and use it for the 800 & above range. Just a thought.
Cheers & thanks for posting this

RCA-Fan hinted that the geometry of a recent horn build based upon one he had published would have an upper limit somewhat below of what might be achieved with a straight horna scaled University Classic for a 12 would be a nice size, easier to place than a straight midbass - and IF came close to this simple prediction, pretty potent - fill in from bottom -100 with a tapped horn or tapped pipe
would the old Classic scale 0.7 evenly and fit a 12? - would it make it to 600 well enough to put a crossover in that region?
the recent build of a 7 cubic foot horn for a 12" speaker showed response to be much better than an offset driver model would indicate.
