In Reply to: RE: whats a decent passive xover scheme for ~1981 K-horn? posted by freddyi on April 18, 2016 at 05:41:07
Hi Freddyi
Freddy, by FAR of more importance than component pedigree, is having the correct values and response shape correction.
If you can send me the text file version of your frequency response and impedance, i can give you a hand with something to try.
All of our Synergy Horns that have a passive xover are made this way because when your load is something other than a resistor, text book filters don't work properly
Best,
Tom

May I do the same Tom? Your expertise is (to me) impeccable for that task.

Hi Ken
Can you describe the speaker and driver arrangement?
What do you take measurements with?, I need the magnitude and phase and impedance as .txt files.
And could they be done outdoors (usually gives better results)?
If you're near Atlanta, there may be a possible alternative.
Best,
Tom
