A chairs placement in room is a sub optimal place for a bass system, also would cause timing errors and uneven bass pressures in room for any others not seated on the bass system.

Hello,
for wave length over 3,4 m in rooms with a bit larger dimension?
look precedence effect, delay in musik, the room is below ~300 Hz dominat.Advantage:
the bass is near the listener , multi direction, and different room reflexions compaired with bass in front of the listener.
+ double horn, low membran movement...and a ergonomic designed armchair to your body.
partly you are right, my old Bassel radiate to the front, you lost the punch, and sounds best if you donīt sit on it

There are many who would argue with me, but in my experience a pair of woofers, each fairly near the main speakers, offers real improvement in the sound for serious music listening. This is especially true when a crossover point above 100 Hz is used. Do you plan on a pair of armchair woofer horns?
Hello Don,
one is enough up to 30sqm,
my room is only 22 sqm.
i will built one for the new DH SAT.
in case of the armchair i prefer max. 100 Hz 18 dB, because
man voice begins at 100 Hz and you sit near ;-)

Brings to mind Lynn Olson's ME2 subwoofer. While this approach introduces some challenges, it solves others. That's what this is all that. Selective, well informed tradeoffs.
