Today I started gathering the drivers for my JBL 4345 speakers. I have the 2245H woofers that will be going into Orange Country Speaker for repair. I will be gathering more drivers in the coming weeks/month for my JBL 4345 Build. I already have someone to build the cabinets for me.Does anyone here have info, tweaks, feedback for these speakers?

I have an OEM pair that I restored several years ago. I have two recommendations:
1. Bi-amp only. Don't even bother trying full passive, the difference is huge.
2. If you can swing it, use TAD TD2002 HF beryllium drivers. They drop right in. Big bucks, though and could be retrofitted at a later date, too.
Good luck!
You probably have done your homework on this, for best results the original designer Greg Timbers suggests going bi-amplified and stay away from passive network, you can find some recommendations from him here;

If you like the inherent sound of JBL 4-way monitors you will be impressed with 4345 performance, I have a DIY 4350 bi-amplified, I do not believe that any speaker can reproduce the sound of Steinway D piano like this JBL.
Vahe
Hi Vahe,
Yeah, and that JBL 4350 is about the same size as a Steinway Piano too! LOL!
All kidding aside, I have heard great things about the JBL 4350s. I just wish I had the room for them. The JBL 4345 will be just fitting in my living room.
I don't know what parts Orange uses, I would make sure they are JBL spec.
Orange County repair is a JBL authorized repair center. So they should be using the proper parts for the repair. I will be sure to ask.
Right..he might want the OEM cone kit put in, not
the generic (usually Waldom brand) replacement.
