Hey guys right now on eBay there's a pair of ODEON No.26 horn speakers for only $3990! I know that Brad aka morricab here in the Asylum loves the ODEON speakers he purchased. Check them out at the link below the one and only caveat that I can see is they're in Greece...

this is my goal !.. .. Full range speakers and one stereo amplifier !
Have fun !

I have a pair of Mark audio full rangers of 4" size in small (5 litre) BR boxes with a Lm3886 based amp which sound V niceindeed (within their limits)
These let me enjoy the music.. more so than the sounds
(significant that :-) which my Main rig does in spades.
Consequently I use the wee setup regularily.

Hi Bare, not to burst your bubble but your Mark Audio 4" " wide-range " drivers would hardly qualify as being the full range horn system that drummerwill wanted to work with his single stereo amp! Heck if a " wide-range " driver would have fit this bill, I would have suggested he try something like my Sachiko double-back-loaded horns with PS220-8 8" " wide-range " drivers shown below. Add a pair of Fostex T900a super-tweeters (not shown) crossed in at 9.5KHz and your good from nice taunt 40Hz's to 35Khz!
These would come much closer to the full range horn system that drummerwill wanted! Plus the Sachiko cabinets with the PS220-8 8" " wide-range " drivers allow me to play a small 4 piece ensemble with all the delicacy, inner-detail, correct harmonic tone, color and timbre that one would expect to hear when using a Reference level SET amp and high-quality " wide-range " drivers. Yet on the very next song I can switch from chamber music to playing Prog-rock like " Miracles From Nowhere " by Kansas at SPLs of 100dB+ with amazing dynamics and lightning fast transient response while retaining all the delicacy, inner-detail, correct harmonic tone, color and timbre I heard with the chamber music but, absolutely no " Lowther shout " or the slightest hint of strain! The best way to describe the Sachiko/Dayton PS220-8 combo's sound is to have you imagine listening to a set of ESLs, ribbon or planar speakers that now have a 98dB sensitivity rating and much, much better bass & treble extension! That will give you just a hint of an idea of what I'm talking about.
This sound really needs to be heard to be believed. The best part is these speakers are easily duplicated. So anyone who hears them and likes what they hear can build the exact same speakers for themselves.

If I didn't already have "La Bohemes" from Odeon I would be seriously considering No.26s. I haven't heard this exact 3-way model (mine and Todd A.s are 2-way) but I have heard it's big brothers, the No. 32 and the No. 38 and both are simply world class speakers.
Brad thanks for that input. Coming from you hearing that the ODEON No.26 has the potential to sound like a " world-class " speaker means a lot to me! ODEON are now the speakers I hope to upgrade to after my home is paid off this coming May 2016. After that I'll have some extra funds to make payments on a speaker I find and really like! Thanks again for your input Brad...

Geez, you could probably commission similar BLH dreck in US for way less money than Odeon and their cheap drivers. Morricab resides in EU. It's just a different perspective and different room acoustics. Now, you all are going to drop everything and run to buy another recommended speaker? How it is even possible that people who are 30 years in the hobby learn nothing and are susceptible to the same simple stimuli?
Don't get me wrong , I highly regard Mori , more than 80% posting here combined but have some reason folks...
I agree, I just give my opinion and you should definitely hear before you jump in. FWIW, I highly regard your posts too.
The drivers might not be really expensive but they are still quite good ones (The Audax aerogel drivers are very good midrange drivers, for example). I am not sure what they are using for a compression tweeter. The bass driver I am also not sure of...might be Beyma...
I have heard other companies really expensive horns and some are amazing and some are not, even with VERY expensive drivers, and it seems that execution is especially vital with horn systems. The Odeon guy seems to get pretty amazing sound from those inexpensive drivers...maybe the horns from solid wood are really good. The prices are also not as steep as some other horns (not cheap though for the bigger models).
The resolution I hear from my La Bohemes is as good as anything I have heard from Altec, JBL, TAD etc. Not as good as Living Voice but at what price???
Hey Wojciech click on the link below called My System to see the nice pair of double-back-loaded horns that are anything but " dreck "! I'm presently using these incredible sounding BLH cabinets ---{ that have been modded as has the cone of the PS220-8 driver installed in them }--- along with some fairly high-end audio gear. For example: I use an Italian, 135lb, 40W/ch, $14.5K Mastersound Reference 845, integrated, SET amp, an Italian, $6K, GoldeNote, Stibbert CDP ---{ used as a transport }--- and an Audio-gd, Reference 7.1 DAC from Hong Kong. I don't know about you, but I'd call that fairly high-end audio gear considering their outstanding sonic quality and cost. I cannot believe that you honestly believe I'd be using speakers that are sonic " dreck " with this quality of audio gear, but perhaps you do which would amaze me. I'd like to inform you at the time I had the Sachikos custom built for me, I could have purchased whatever speakers I wanted up to about $10K. So I'm here to tell you I heard sonic qualities in the Sachiko / PS220-8 / T900a combination that really got my juices flowing. But if you care to know what those traits are you can read about them below the photo I included at the link below. Oh yeah, this is all setup in a dedicated audio room too! I'll let you know I've wanted to audition the larger ODEON speakers for quite some time, but was spurred on a bit by Brad's post.Oh yes I'd love to know what speakers and audio gear you're using, since you consider my Sachikos to be " dreck "...

As do I. The Odeons are marvelous speakers. I can't express how much I'm looking forward to getting them properly amplified, although they sound great even with the Wave 8s.
