If you want to get into a really good coax type arrangment, without some of the common integration problems, check out a Danley Synergy type setup!
But actually, I'm mostly replying just to say that I'm jealous of you having those two Eico amps shown in your picture! I had one of those many years ago, my only real sold-off component regret (and it beat the daylights out of a pair of MC60s, which I don't regret losing at all!).

The ST-70 was given to me by a MA-area hifi buff whom I had helped out with a rehab project. It was very nice of him to have done so.
The ST-40 was a dump find. Not a "Yankee swap pile" find; it was on the scrap metal pile! I saw it there, early one Saturday morning, when the pile was pretty barren and literally ran over to grab it. (In our town in MA, the scrap metal pile was open for both drop-off and pick-up, democratically enough).
Gary Kaufman kindly restored both of them for me a couple of years ago. Both worked 'as found'; the dump-find ST-40 had a full and complete (and good) set of tubes in it.
(the ST-40, as found, with the top removed to see what was what)
It could've ended up being processed as scrap metal.
all the best,

great amps - great output xformers, musical driver circuits - I assembled a ST40 about 50 years ago & remember its "printed circuit" section on the tone controls - lol - they're probably better in ways than some ARC and stock Dyna. ST70 sounded noticeably more powerful. What's safe to clean the faceplate without removing the lettering?
