These are both ( fairly ) new offerings from Omega. Being such a small company and somewhat of a niche product, I am not finding any formal reviews on-line. Thats not necessarily a bad thing as I tend put more trust in personal opinions from actual end users.
Having said this, has anyone out there heard / owned either of these models.???
Reading between the lines, I see what appears to be a very well engineered speaker in the Omega product, but the company does not offer any trial basis, nor is there a dealer anywhere close in Canada.
I would sure appreciate any comments from anyone out there who has heard either of these models.
Thanks in advance !

ok - I have not heard either but I do have the super 3xrs. I have a very problematic room, so take these comments for whatever they're worth. And remember, they apply to the 3 not the 7 or the alnico.
There was one moment with one song where I was in just the right spot and mood and had my best ever speaker experience. Wholistic and holographic, good tone etc.
Normally, they can sound a bit ragged when louder, sometimes thin. Bass is quite decent, down to 50hz or so. Generally good at low volumes. Not thrilled with the treble.
I suspect the 7's and esp. the alnicos will have a fatter tone with (obviously) better bass. The Omega brand has been around, and is pretty well regarded.
Hope this helps...

This does indeed help and I really appreciate the comments. From what I can decipher thus far regarding this speaker brand, and single driver array in general terms is that they can suffer from the acoustic anomalies that are associated with all hi-eff single driver types in that they can get a bit shouty when pushed, especially in an environment where room conditions are not ideal, yet when they have the luxury of a well balanced room and carefully selected uostream components, they are able to perform in ways that many other designs cannnot. As other posters have commented, I can certainly see the hesitation in a blind order simply hoping they will " work out " as it were. I think a careful audition is definately the way to go here in order to make sure I do not end up with something I am truly " trying hard to like " as opposed to something I took the time to audition in advance.
Much thanks to all who chimed in, this is useful information and I certainly appreciate it.
and let us know what you end up doing!

With the caveat that I've not heard their loudspeaker systems nor their drivers.
Fullrange drivers are lots of fun and capable of very satisfying performance; they're not for everyone, though. I'd definitely recommend listening to a pair of any one of their myriad systems before buying a pair -- even if they're returnable.
I'll also offer the following unsolicited advice; the big advantage of point source radiators is the astonishing three-dimensional, spatially-convincing reproduction of which they're capable. The 'full range' (extended range) drivers do get this right, in spades, but at the expense of any or all of the following (in my rather extensive experience with FR drivers of many types):
HF Extension
LF Extension
"tone" (a tendency towards forwardness, harshness, or 'tizziness')
Dynamics
A coaxial "driver" (actually two, sometimes even more drivers more or less coaxially-aligned in one overall 'basket'/housing) can give all the advantages of a point source with none of the extended range drawbacks.
After lots of years playing with lots of stuff; in the range of what I could afford, coaxials became my daily drivers. I love 'em.
They are capable of convincingly real (as opposed to 'realistic') reproduction of music. Flesh and blood, brass, strings, and wood. A performance in one's room. At a pretty reasonable price (compared to many of today's 'audiophile' loudspeakers).
Just my opinions, of course -- though hardly humble ones :-/
all the best,

That's a good photo of your listening room. Those speakers must do very well in there with all the angles.
Just a quick q ( or two ... if you don't mind)
Would 604's (GPA or similar to what you have) work well in small rooms? I see from your photo that you have LOTS of space surrounding them but I have seem other iterations of them pushed right into the corners of the room. It is hard to tell but your cabinets look pretty big and your seating distance looks over 10 ft. Have you found a minimum seating distance and distance from walls for the 604's to blend properly?
I am jealous of your listening room. I'll bet it sounds great with those 2A3's.
Cheers
FM
They were used (even) as nearfield monitors in studios and control rooms everywhere in their heyday.
The cabinets were built for (potential) corner placement & their designer has his (which are considerably more aesthetically pleasing than mine) in a pretty small room (see link below). If that link doesn't work, see:

Yeah, it all works pretty well in my hifi "loft", fortunately.
C'mon over/up/down/by sometime & give a listen!
all the best,

Seemingly these are ~ 4" inchers I'm assuming?
If so then there are several PROVEN Good Fullrangers in these sizes Fostex Mark Audio etc (madisound carries them) and they are V affordable
Nirvana drivers can be good and IMO their best version is their 8" incher In Ferrite Or Alnico.. funds Allowing.
As for the Omega drivers.. these don't even have the Appearance cred of any of the above. As for the Alnico The square steel Box with the Teeny Alnico slug inside is a Decades Old Cheapout Build method.
Wasn't Much Engineering excellence lavished on those My friend
As always, any comments are valuable and I thank you in advance. I would partially agree with your statements as I have already heard a few speakers with single drivers that were not my cup of tea, however, i am actually looking for input on a user who has had actual experience " listening " to this brand and model if possible. I have learned that system dependancy can be a HUGE factor no matter what speaker you are considering. One speaker may sound sublime to one person, yet another may find it completely unacceptable to their tastes and set up. This is primarily why I would prefer hearing from a person whom has actually tried the speaker and the findings thereof.
Again, with thanks......
Do they honk and have a ragged, rolled-off treble?
Not quite sure how to interpret this reply other than to assume you've actually heard a pair and felt they were shouty and had a rolled off top frequency?
thanks
No, I have never heard an Omega. But I have heard other single driver speakers and they all had one or both of these features and so I avoided them. But I am still looking.
Omega has an active forum at AudioCircle and I believe one of the frequent contributors is "Canada Rob". He appears to be a dealer, but I'm not sure. Of course I'm assuming he's from Canada as well. Regardless, there's endless amounts of info on Omega speakers there along with regular contributions from Louis.(the designer)
