and in addition to the stuff below this should work
Karlson Evangelist
midbass horn driver - see RCA-Fan's sketch for a 70Hs hornan ~0.8 scale University Classic should be punchy - experienced horn builders can give better opinions
Karlson 12 with K-tube tweeter on top - make the tube 1" inside diameter, 5.3" long, with a half-ellipse slot
1956 style slit vent K12 with Transylvania Power "The Tube" on top.
Those narrow slits distort horrifically on sine wave in the vicinity of Fb- but with the music I like, do well. You can use a regular vent which will improve the distortion quite a bit.A K-tube could probably be mounted on the reflector - port-board of the 1956 style K12's which tilts down ~10 degrees from vertical. The tube's slot would face "up" in that case. Vents could be used on either side of the tube as in Carl's K8 below
Here's Karlson's late 60's K12 - size remained the same from 1954 to his death in 1973 - this one was sold unported apparently with instructions on how to port for specific drivers - one pair seen had Tannoy Red coaxials. This one brought back the full width rear lowpass shelf.
K15 scaled 0.75 - > 0.8 should work well for EV12L - I think the front shelf should be shortened in that case.
K10 size
although qts is low, GregB's Karlsonator for 12" drivers may work - its tuned at least a half-octave lower than a K12
one of RCA-Fan's older sketches

Do I hear a Karlson in your future?
Happy Listening
if memory serves, they were used by some folks in Edgarhorns.
I am pretty sure I remember hearing a pair so ensconced some years back... if so, they were pretty good indeed in that application.
all the best,
