thanks i buy these drivers 2 months ago
and order new diaphragms for it from GPA
when i put them in i see this, the voice coil is not rubbing and works but
i see that the gap was not totally centered from one
and i like to have it 100%
Follow Ups:
i have over the last 30 yrs seen sooo many non centered but not shifted or touching the body,as long as there is enough room for movement, the movement is so tiny its hard to even see with the naked eye
mark with a sticker or sharpie the location and point it close to the sky ,many reasons for this if there is dust it will fall down any gunk from vc heat will also end on the wider side ,gravity is your friend.
just make sure its clean as hell using card stock, masking tape and a air duster
use a paper shim to make sure the outside edge is close to the body as acceptable and then tighten to avoid vc rub.
are you using original dphrams or after market,
i use 288g and 288c on 1505 tar and 203b respectively
Just do not loosen the bolts, you'll make things worse, trust me.
Then you'll have to send it to GPA!!!,
If it's NOT rubbing, go ahead and use it... it won't otherwise
affect the audio quality.
