All I was trying to say was that the hf of the stronger flux radians sound better than on the weaker.
The more flux you put on a given design the stronger the hf gets.
I was not comparing the flux of the Altecs to the Radians.
The Radians just sound better in the HF region due to a more sophisticated design.
Most audiophiles get all exited when they her the word Alnico but a well
designed driver like the creations for Jonas Renkus can even be better.
I got a pair of Yamaha JA6681b that no Altec comes close to and it is
a simple 1" exit Ceramic magnet driver.

Follow Ups:
The Yamaha JA6681b is 35mm (1.4") throat, with 17,500 gauss.
No sorry it's not about what the spec sheets say.
Open one up and you will discover what it really is.
The exit of the driver ist exactly 1". From there on they just
extended the driver to look like an exquisite old format Alnico thingy.
Got to the DIY Audio forum thread and find my post where I showed
Mr. LeCleach the inerts of my 6681b because he was also trying to correct
me with spec sheet numbers as you did.
He even thought that it was an Alnico driver. Obviously he never opened
his driver further than taking the back cover off.

From the specs on it.
Very similar to the Altec 288, but with BeCu fingers for the suspension.
I have one sitting on the floor next to me.
too bad they don't make them anymore and if someone has them the diaphragm are impossible to get now. Glad you were able to grab some.
Thanks for the info.
