I tried to listen to the M2 system at Guitar Center in north Dallas a couple of months ago, but none of the three "pro sound employees" could figure how they were connected into the console. One employee went to go help another customer. He was the lucky one, 'cause he wasn't exposed to the excrutiatingly loud HF screech which was the only sound the other two "pro sound employees" managed to get out of the speakers.
My right ear hurt for the rest of the day and into the evening.
I sincerely hope they fried the tweeter - maybe then the "manager" will get a clue about running that department. It's a mess.
Follow Ups:
The M2 has connections for the tweeter and connections for the woofer.
There are no straps provided.
The salesman didn't understand this and hooked up only the tweeters.

Let's review...
You're saying that I'm lucky that I only got 100 dB of screech, and not 100 dB of "woof" as well?
So my legal case won't be, um, heard?
;)
Listening to any tweeter all by itself will sound bad.
On the other hand, if they were really playing it a 100db that's gonna hurt!
I would reserve judgement until I could hear both the tweeter and the woofer at 85db with some good jazz.

Oh, they weren't "playing it", it was an accident (they were TRYING to play it).Like fingernails on a chalkboard, only MUCH louder.
Dumbasses.
