Hi All,
I have recently heard the QSC KW153 Loudspeaker at a gig but when I heard the music the DJ was playing through them I was really surprised at how nice they sound and what they did on all music. I was wondering how they would do in a home enviroment. I have heard others say they have heard others use them in the home with good results. Maybe due to the DSP that these speaker have on them with the built in power amp?
So I just wanted to ask if has any one here used them in the home or heard a pair used in the home?
Follow Ups:
I have occasionally used professional powered speakers for home listening and they can work out okay. The primary issues I've found are
1. Too much noise from the builtin amplifiers. They may hiss at a level that is unacceptable in a quiet home environment.
2. Noise gates in the design that will not allow low volume levels. I had a pair of JBL PRX535s once that sounded great, but produced no output below about 75 dB.
No, but they look to me good for home use. I've heard the two ways at a wedding and though they did a good job for 60-70 people.
