I had 604-8G's for 12 years and tried a variety of cabinets, baffles and crossovers. I also had 604E's and 604-16X's.
I think I paid my dues and can confidently say that while they are a nice speaker, they're not the best and they're not for everyone.
Sure, I get that.For clarity: I was not referring to anyone's particular experience or posted comments. It was just a different take on the "we all have different preferences - trust your own ears" type of concept. Nothing more than that intended.
I agree they are not for everyone, as suggested in both my previous posts.

That's cool.
I wasn't entering into any debate about how 604's sound.
I was just agreeing with the statement "Question what you hear in the short term; trust what you hear in the long term".
