Please suggest the best sounding resistors that you have found. I am upgrading parts on a couple of crossovers that have the long rectangular cement type resistors.

Well One can Buy Mills resistors ..about as good as a Rational person needs in a crossover OR if Frugal Solen.com has their Mills Clone resistors for ~75 Cents each.
Beyond that one is into Penis Enlargement Cream territory :-)
dresser?
THE best?
DUELUND
I was worried you would say that!
Yes, they're "expensive" but the crossover for the 15" co-axial main driver in my OB speakers uses 1 resistor per channel. The $30 or so paid for each of the Duelunds are some of the best bucks I've spent on my system.Looks like you are working with a similar speaker system. I'm 7 years into this one. Lots of similarities in the rest of the systems too.
I'm near New Orleans. Feel free to PM me. Interested in what you're doing.

You will find those same white resistors in $50,000 speakers. A good speaker designer will often spend the money elsewhere for better performance.
I like Mills resistors for best sound in critical locations. IMHO.
Thanks for your reply! Any more details on which Mills resistors? I did read suggestions to try non-inductive wirewound resistors. I have seen ceramic types and metal case types.
Mills MRA-5 are 5 Watt, MRA-12 are 12 Watt. Michael Percy stocks them.

Thanks Jeff! I will check those out. Have a great weekend! Chuck
