Here is another picture. Click on the link in the OP for a demo. Bill from Millersound massaged more bass out of these great speakers.
The link below is a thread I started years ago when I first got them and there are plans posted to that thead. I bought the boxes over a decade ago with a lot of electronics. I had these in my living room for a few years until some little fingers got them while I was out.
Bill fixed them and made them better. Now I am too paranoid to put them back in the living room. Though there are proper grills on epay so I may buy them for piece of mind. I would recommend these speakers to anyone. A few people have heard them and each comments how good they sound.

First Henry I wanted to tell you I was quite surprised by how good your drivers sounded. Very nice, indeed! Now getting back to my question in the subject line. If your Fostex drivers are no longer stock what did Bill from Millersound do to them? I was using the Fostex FE208ES-R drivers seen at the link below. I've switched from using those expensive $1.8K/pr. Fostex drivers to using a pair of inexpensive ($256/pr.) Dayton PS220-8 with a special cone treatment applied. But that's another discussion for another day!

Bill creates magic. I do not know specifics but I can get more details. I know he said he did them three times and the dust cap was killing the bass. He made a special screen and dustcap that allows a certain amount of air and cone movement for optimal bass response. They do sounds really good. They sound even better now hooked up to a T amp.
I will talk to Bill after the holidays a report back
My solution to the "little fingers" thing has been to leave delicate things all over the place, and take the time to describe what is delicate and why. Never had any damage to anything from children. CATS on the other hand, can't be taught anything. Mine decided that my Clearaudio Aurum Classics, which I left beside my turntable for about a day was a cat toy, and I found it mangled in another corner of the room.
