I am wondering if the CS series of Pioneer speakers would be suitable
for use with SET amps in the 8 watt category .
I see that they have a sensitivity of 97db. but they also have quite a few speakers and complicated crossovers of 4 and 5 way units .
Thank You

Nothing to add, really, but here are a couple of resources that you may not already have that may be helpful in selecting a specific model.

Hi Saki70
I have owned most of the CS series at one time or another and the CS-77 sounded best to me. Awesome speakers. They all are good. If you only have 8 watts you may want the 99's if you like to rock out. The 77's will go loud with 8 watts.
Good luck in your search
Ok , thank you Henry .
Any one else ?
Ok , thank you nosmok .
Can you state what amp that you are using and how many watts it produces ?
Thanks again

Certainly worth a try, and maybe more than that. I have the CS-a30's, a three way, and they play loud on not much. Plus, the midrange is basically a pim-5, which is the best small full range I've ever heard. I am thinking of tri amping...
