They are the model "La Boheme", which was one of Odeon's top models around the year 2000.
Simply put, they sound quite awesome! They are a two-way system comprised of a 10 inch doped paper cone that is back horn loaded and a 1 inch compression tweeter in a 10 inch round wood horn. The horn is set back INTO the cabinet with the mouth flush with the surface of the front speaker baffle. The mid/bass driver is flush with the baffle.
The crossover is phase coherent and given the driver offset they are possibly time coherent as well but I haven't seen any published data on this. There is data in Stereophile for the La Traviata but it is not a horn bass design BUT it was close to time coherent (the offset at the axis JA measured shows the tweeter arriving slightly early) but on some axis it should be time coherent. I would expect the La Boheme to behave similarly in the time domain.
The sound is totally wide open and with an adjustable tweeter it can be a bit bright or not bright at all and is therefore a bit tunable depending on your system. Voices soar, drums have super impact and there is virtually no coloration to speak of.
Supposedly they are 98db/watt and an easy 8 ohm load. If anyone has more information on them I would appreciate getting that information. I have written to Odeon and will hopefully get a response.
Now I have to decide which amp I will keep (or neither) to get the most out of these amazingly revealing speakers. The dynamics live and breathe with life and without annoying colorations to remind you they are boxes of wood with drivers.
I would love to hear form others with Odeons. I know they are quite rare outside a pretty narrow circle in central Europe but I am sure some inmates are using them.
This is my second pair of Odeons actually...I used to have the little Orfeos when I had a small apartment and they were quite lively little creatures and very engaging. Only low level resolution let them down a bit, something the La Bohemes have no issues with whatsoever.

My two bits: check out Cy's amps at his Cyrusbrenneman Audio. I think his amps sound great and his Cavalier Plus is a steal.
Congrats!
Play the hell out of them.
Jamie
Big speakers and little amps blew my mind!
