I though I'd post a pic of my econowave horn and crossover in the 12.5 x 12.5 x 6.5 MDF box to show the internal layout. Used the Parts Express blank 2nd order crossover PC board and it worked out quite nicely. The Selenium D220ti is a fantastic driver but is very revealing, so use the best caps you can afford. I used Jantzen Supreme caps with Mills resistors for the D220ti side of the crossover.

Hi Rpower, it would be good if you would continue the description of your project within one or maybe two threads. You now have four threads going on your same subject. This is not only irritating to follow, but it's also rude to people who post in other topics, since, every time you start another thread about your econowave, it pushes other topics down the list.
Pick one of your econo threads, and continue to post there rather than starting another one.
:)
there's a bewildering array available nowadays...
all the best,
mrh
The waveguide is a Pyle PH612 but there is also the Dayton HS6512 both of which are clones of the JBL constant directivity horn used in their JRX series monitors and available direct from JBL parts.
that explains my confusion, actually.
I remember the JBL being spec'd for the "Econowaves" and I've seen similar horns... umm, waveguides... and I was confused.
Thanks!
all the best,
mrh
