My main speakers area pair of DIY 4 way 4350’s. I always wanted a pair of 4430’s for my second system but could not locate one, finally when I found a pair I took a bunch of CD’s to try the speakers, long story short, 4430’s were a complete disappointment, the highs were lacking in this two way design, basically a compression driver was in charge of both midrange and highs and it just did not sound right to me.
I suspect 4425 would be very similar to 4430’s, if you prefer crisp high frequency output look for three way system or at least audition the 4425’s and decide for yourself.

This is one of those questions for which you should know before you ask that there is no real possible answer. If you don't understand this then any answers you may receive will be of little real use to you. Your room your equipment any your own personal taste will all factor in. The easiest thing that you could do is to listen to both, compare and decide based upon what you hear (in your sustem). Know also that the CW ll can be upgraded with titanium tweeter diaphragms (from Bob Crites) which have a significant impact. You should also consider building a set of Cornscala version D by Bob Ctites which is a two way Cornwall with a large elliptical horn and Fatial driver which I think would then be an apples to apples comparison to the JBL. Hope this helps Best regards Moray James.

If all you said is true, what is the point of this website?
"If all you said is true, what is the point of this website?"
Part of the point of this website is to ask questions and to share knowledge and experience.
Your original post was pretty blunt, served no purpose, and didn't have any indication of your reason for asking, nor provide any info about your application or room acoustics. You didn't even bother to write any text. What are we, your f-ing peons? I'm surprised that you've gotten this many replies.
Now, you come back and ask what is the purpose of this website. What a jackass, or moron.
Klipsch Cornwall 2's vs JBL 4425 ? Is this supposed to be a question??? What is it that you want? What part of my response has you feeling like I went pee into your cornflakes? You obviously don't understand why I said what I said and you don't seem to be interested in several realistic suggestion which I made which I happen to think would be of use.
If you ask meaningful questions then you have half a chance or receiving meaningful responses. I think that is what this forum is for. You have not asked a question. Try asking a question you will receive a response. Ask a really good question you will be flooded with responses. Best regards Moray James.

your inappropriate hostility is baffling
I think you could pick this fight with any entry on this website
TROLL!
I expect that you pick this kind of fight with all sorts of people and you don't need to. You have ignored my comments and my suggestions. You have ignored my questions and your response to me has been to accuse me of some wrong.
I can't know what it is that you really want or need to know about these two loudspeakers which are both excellent in their own way(s)if you don't say. If you are only looking for a poll of votes for one or the other speaker would you please explain to me what on earth that bit of news does for you or for anybody else for that matter? You ought to know when you are asking subjective questions that the only opinion that matters is yours. So if I answer your poll here is my answer "yes" because I own both Klipsch and JBL. I like them both for different reasons. I like Tannoy, I like electrostats, I like lots of things but without any context that information does not help you or anybody much.
If you want to have a discussion then you have to contribute and if you don't want to do that then that is up to you. Best regards Moray James.

your suggestions are valid but it is next to impossible to listen to both without buying both.
your attitude is not
since you have heard both it would be reasonable for me to expect a discussion of pros and cons, not a lecture on epistomolgy
The plain and simple truth is that a lot of things are hard to do. I have on multiple occasions bought and shipped two pairs of loudspeakers so I could listen to them both in my own system. How else will you ever know what they will sound like in your room on your gear? I kept both on one occasion and sold one pair on the other. You can discuss pros and cons all you want but you will still never know until you try there is no way around that.Go and take a good look at Bob Crites's Cornscala version "D" this is in my estimation a better loudspeaker than either the Cornwall ll or the JBL 4425. It has a better woofer than CW ll and it is more efficient than the JBL woofer and it has a better horn than the CW and the JBL and I expect that the Faital driver is as good and might even be bit better than the JBL. You could buy a set of used CW ll and replace the motor board (which Bob can sell you)then go two way with the Faital pro horn/driver and the K33 CW woofer. You can build up the new crossover section for the Faital driver. Sell the Klipsch K600horn/driver and the K79 tweeters to offset your upgrade expenses. If you want to save cost while you experiment You could place the Faital pro horn/driver on top pf the CW ll in a make shift frame. This will also allow you to time align the horn driver to the woofer (like the JBL does). I expect that once you hear the woofer and the horn time aligned you will not want to go back to same baffle mounting ever again. Best regards Moray James.

Will try to find a pair to listen, alternatively thinking of Wayne Parnham 4Pi, all shots in the dark.
Thanks.
I think that the 4pi would also be a very good option I have a set of JBL2226 in a pair of L200B right now excellent woofer. same kind of roll off as the CW ll the JBL goes a little deeper but with the 4425 you have to deal with foam surrounds which rot and die and must be replaced accordion surrounds never wear out. Best regards Moray James.
note: the 2226 has an accordion surround

I have owned and used Klipshorns, Klipsch Fortes as well as vintage JBLs. For the mids and highs I prefer the JBL sound, but I have no doubt many serious audiophiles would hold the opposite opinion.
Audio Karma has several user reviews of the JBL 4425. If you haven't already read them you might find them informative. Try:
