OB and high efficiency tend to be mutually exclusive, as do high Qes drivers and high sensitivity, and those smallish magnets probably indicate a pretty high Qes, which one would expect with an OB.

Does 97dB/1w/1m qualify?
You are right Bill, I just found out that these speakers are only 90 dB efficiency.
You're right. To get decent bass open baffle need 12DB/octave equalization for at least a couple of octaves and that's a ton of power.
By the way the tweeters look like unobtanium, Dynaudio(D21 or D28) from the 80s or early 90s. I haven't seen them in ages.
Morel CAT 378.
I'm sorry, perhaps this post is misplaced. Obviously I am not a speaker designer.
I just assumed that since Dennis Had's new Inspire amps were 5-12 watt single ended tube amps, with his personal favorite being the 5 watt 6V6 design that his new Inspire speakers would be a high sensitivity design.
I do know what they say about assuming though.....
Check out the Yield at Fastlane Audio, it's more efficient.
