My very experienced opinion, Lowther's can be the very best sounding drivers alive. However, it does require a bit of a unique understanding of how to get that BEST from them.
Fortunately for you, there is a ready made list below of Lowther "experts" nto one degree or another. So, all you need to do is ask nicely for advice and then enjoy your Lowther based system. You will be rewarded with one of THE MOST spooky Alive sounding speakers available regardless of cost.
I will be happy to answer any questions that you may have.

How do you feel Lowthers are in OB augmented by a bass driver?
This is my cup of tea. Such an easy (within reason) way to acquire a fantastic speaker system.

I have owned a set of Lowther Alerion speakers (with the DX65 drivers) back loaded horns for about a year now, and can say that they are a perfect fit to a smaller room, and are especially good when matched to a clean low power amp (I use a Nelson Pass/First Watt J2).My room is well treated with carpeting and rear wall drapes, plus ATS absorbing panels on the side walls. Diffusion is in the corners behind the speaker cabinets.
I could go on and on about how good the Alerions are, but it would be easier for you to go to the reviews-

As mentioned previously, the Alerion cabinets are no longer available, but they show up from time to time on various sites for sale.
I hope that this helps.....Kevin
