Madisound is experienced in these matters. I'd start with them. Give them a call, give the tech all the troubleshooting steps you've gone through. Tell them you want it to end up "as new", and see what they recommend. It might cost you a few bucks more, but those are seriously good tweeters. Don't take it somewhere that'll put modified Piezo diaphragms in those.
You're 100% correct these T900a tweeters are very nice indeed. I've decided after reading your post and all the others that it's definitely worth paying what it will cost to bring them back to as new status. Thanks for your input & time...
