yesterday i added two Altec 416a's each side, in Onken W style cabinet.
I have a lot of flexibility now. I can experiment, play with different crossover points, configuration etc, since the Altecs cover a wide range , up to ~ 1,2khz. I am thinking to use digital crossover, to make it easyer to try things out. I thought to try out a Mini DSP. Any other suggestion ?

FWIW, some comparisons. Be sure to follow the links as well.
Mini DSP might be OK. For a plug-and-play solution, I'd suggest either a modified Behringer, a DCX unit, or maybe the Apogee Ensemble or similar prosound unit.
I suggest get rid of the flat screen in between ;o) It just doesn;t belong there. You don't specify what is your goal . If you want more "punch" in midbass get some 500W SS amps and be done with it. Onken was designed to go with solid state amps.
What i am looking for, is a flexible solution, to play with different crossover points and slopes, to be able to try out different configurations, loosing the less sound quality as possible.
Multiamping is something i pursue as well.
