Wood but its not as big a issue metals fine. Doesn't seem like much extension for a tweeter since its running into mid-range. Its a pain to match tweeters to such large horns like a 160. Thought you where adding to your fe208esr in BLH.

Hello Jon,
Well it will most likely be the FE208ES-R in the Sachikos, but I've also considered trying the FE208ES-R in the 160 Azurahorns as well, to see which combo sounds better!

Any tweeter recommendations from 10k up and over 100db for very large horns?
Depends on midrange and crossover points etc and your budget. But Fostex t500amk2 t900a t90a or BMS would probably match. Vintage look for EV 350
John, I am very interested in the Fostex, are you a reseller for the t500amkII?
I am using a pair 12" fullrange field coil drivers in a almost 4'x4' square horn, how important is time alignment of the drivers, my listening distance is about 20' from the speakers.
Time alignment, once achieved, should be very apparent once you get to within 1/4 inch...see link below.
Sorry to be late to the party on this one. I just saw it.

Not a reseller for fostex. I feel alignment in vertical plains well worth the effort. Maybe post pics of your loudspeaker might help.
John, Thanks for the reply and I will post a picture of my speakers and start a new thread on this subject.
For a moment I thought of a solution similar to Jadis Eurythmie with my also big Azura 204 Horn. Where Lowther does midbass lower midrange duty and than at around 3kz sits mid horn and a tweeter mounted in the horn mouth in eurythmie /electronoluv fashion but I gave up because of crossover and aligment hores. Also it is not an ultimate solution .
