I have a pair of diaphragms from JBL 2441s and am wondering if they are real JBL diaphragms. One has a date of Mar 02 88 on it with SP and a part # (?) 61435. The other has a date of Nov 03 1987, a circled SP, and a part # of 61435. The last digit is a bit smeared, it could be a 6. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The picture above has a 2440 on the left, a 2441 diaphragm on the right.
I think the 2441 on the right was manufactured in the early 1980's.
I don't know JBL manufacturing codes, so can't help you there, but I know these are real JBL product.
The 2441 has a black dot in the center on the other side.
IIRC, the very first 2441s did not have the dot, which was added for a little center mass and continued as a feature.
This 2441 has a number 61780 and 58747.
Thank you for the images, mine look like the one on the right except that they each have a single silver dot in the middle.
My memory may be wrong regarding the color of the dot, but the 2441 definitely has one :^)
Does it have a diamond pattern surround ?? or a white mylar surround ??
Diamond pattern, no mylar.
