I was interested to see the 8" EV speaker has the flattest curve.
this indicates a box mis-alignment for the 12 size box.

Stereophile might have a look at this test report.....or am I missing something
Thanks for a most interesting and enjoyable article! It does have me considering a Karlson build.
Bob
Hi Bob --that was a fun and informative article by Julian Hirsch (must have been a lot of work) --fwiw here's most dimensional details of the first Karlson TWELVE in that article (click to enlarge) - I had a full size 3-color factory blueprint with the aperture specs but think my kid threw it out (?) later K12 had 25 degree baffle and 6-slit vent
I've got more Audio League reports - might scan a few
Best, Freddy
Hi Freddiy,
How's life been treating you lately...well I hope.
Thanks for another great read.
The Audio league report looks "right on" to me and my impreasions from the 8-9 months of living with a K. Maybe some of the dips and peaks help that system blend into the nasties associated with typical household rooms better than a flatter speaker. The implementation I liked best had the K crossed to a 12" open baffle eliminating the boxy midrange tone of the K.

ruff nuff.. hope you're doin' fine - - re: dips - I suspect with some fiddling of baffle & upper board (if used) angle, graphs would look better - whether that improves sound = dunno. Look at ground plane 1/24 octave traces of Acoustic Control's little 115KB with no damping material in the box - might look a bit better dead on axis and with a pad under the woofer

did you try those horribly dull and heavy B&C 15's in K?
I've more Audio League Reports
My Kalson experements were in the mid 90s. The B&C 15s came and went a few years ago.
Now I'm digg'n the AE TD15S with DE250\h100 combo.
If you get a chance post those other reports.
Scott
Thanks, reading them now...
