I am trying to find out how you remove the top section of Klipschorns for shipping. Do they just bolt on? I am purchasing a pair from a guy who has had them for quite a while, but has never removed the top section. Any hints on removal and transporting them? I have a Honda minivan and a very good appliance dolly with a strap. I am hoping to find a strong friend to help. Thanks.

Thanks for the excellent advise. I was able to get both Khorns in my 1999 Honda minivan by taking them apart, wrapping parts in blankets and strapping them together. They look and sound great. Now a glass of wine and a jacuzzi to fix my back, then I will be in audio nirvana.
Enjoy them, please post your listening impressions once you get a chance, I would love to hear what you think of them. regards, tony

Like they said, wing nuts on wither side of the ends, up from the bass bins.
I;d move them one full speaker ata time, meaning one top & one bottom.
I don't see how both will fit in an odyssey.
And yes, get a strong friend.
And make sure the tops are put on their heads in the van...so the wing nut bolts are up.
If your Khorns are older then 20 years, the caps will need changing in the crossover.

sure you bring lots of blanket. You can have two pairs fit in a Honda van Take the top off (wing nut) take the bass horn grills and carry them out; two people should be able to do it very easy. You don't need an appliance dolly.
The top comes off by removing two wing nuts on the bass bin side. For safe transport, remove the grills from the bass bins too.
Put a couple of blankets over the front of the bass bins, then face them towards each other in your van, and run a strap all around to keep them from sliding against each other. Do the same with the tops.
The Top section is attached with two wingnuts on each side. You don't even need tools. Make sure the Van is big enough. They are monsters! - I did this myself last year! You'll love em'!
