I'm not sure I understand. The Oppo players (103, 105, 203) all output SACDs over HDMI, either as DSD or LPCM--your choice. If you have a DAC with an HDMI **input,** you just run a cable from the Oppo HDMI output to your DAC. Alternatively, all three of these Oppo models offer 7.1 analog outputs, so you can get an SACD out of the unit in analog and you won't need a separate DAC.
I have a 103. I think the analog output is fine. The 105 has higher-quality circuitry for processing digital-to-analog. The 203 has a 32 bit DAC, whereas the now-discontinued 10x models have a 24-bit DAC, if that makes any difference to you.

You are right. However, since the oppos can send dsd over the HDMI cable, I was hoping their new dac would have a hdmi input. Similar to what ps audio is doing at much greater expense. I think we will see more dacs in the future with hdmi input. Again my thoughts are only for two channel stereo. Are you planning to upgrade?
Oppo has a standalone DAC coming out soon, but the little information I've seen about it doesn't show that it has an HDMI input, and it won't do multichannel:

No, not planning to buy this or any other separate DAC. I generally output music from the Oppo over HDMI to my AVR, and I have no imminent plans to buy a 4K TV, so better DACS in the 203 aren't a feature I need.
