With the Fort Worth Symphony? Are they a credible regional orchestra?
With Vadym Kholodenko as the soloist.
On SACD Harmonia Mundi

Regarding your question about the Fort Worth Symphony, I'd say that, these days, they're a more than credible orchestra. During the Cliburn Competition, there were a number of Fort Worth Symphony videos available of the concerto performances with the finalists, but I can't seem to find them now, and the orchestra's pickings seem to be slim on YouTube at present. As for Kholodenko, I have his Delos recording of works by Rachmaninoff and Medtner. The Rachmaninoff performances are generally good, with impressive clarity, but in Medtner's great "Night Wind" Sonata, I feel that clarity has become an end in itself, resulting in a dry, almost desiccated rendition of the music. Nevertheless, I'll be interested in acquiring this newly announced Prokofiev album you linked to in your post.

I was hoping Kempf might complete his series on SACD for Bis soon, but we may see this as the first complete Prokofiev concerto series on SACD.
The Prokofiev piano concertos are available on SACD from Triton, Exton's piano-centric sub-label. Stereo only though, with Gavrylyuk, Ashkenazy and the Sydney Symphony.

Amazingly.
