I've certainly been interested in this set ever since it was announced, but BIS/eClassical (both Robert and George) have thwarted my customer expectations by reporting that they were working on hi-rez multi-channel downloads YEARS ago. And, for the most part, I have been waiting ever since, with very few BIS purchases during this period. This last spring, Robert announced that they were at the beta-testing stage of multi-channel download availability, but they're STILL not available! Regardless of the reasons for the delays, the handling of them could be used as a case study in how NOT to set customer expectations.
And now, even if multi-channel downloads become available on the eClassical site, I'm in much less of a position to indulge in my purchasing desires, since I expect my finances to be tight for the next three years. Of course, I'm only one customer, but I still have the right to vent! ;-)
BTW, how did you get your moniker if you name is actually Mark?

Chris,
I seem to remember that Robert said that anyone who downloaded the hires version of an album would automatically be eligible for the multi-channel version at no extra cost. So you could enjoy the stereo version now and download the MCH later without paying again. Of course, then you are betting on whether or not MCH will ever be offered on eclassical.com.... :)
I have downloaded some hi-rez 2-channel files from BIS/eClassical, but not very many. I guess we'll see whether their multi-channel plans ever come to fruition.
