To my ears this 24/96 version from HDtracks is the best one of this phenomenal album out there and I have heard all US CD releases. I realize I am late to party in making this recommendation since it was released in 2011; but I hope you all will consider it as a case of better late than never.I see now that I must qualify this recommendation as I do not have nor have I heard the Japanese Platinum-SHM CD disc which some report is the best version available.

Very nice! Rob
If it's the save 24/96 version found on the Blu-Ray Audio release, it's extremely compressed, with a DR of only 7 (as compared to the DR 12 of the MFSL and DR 11 of the original CD release).
I own the original "red cow" RSO double CD jewel case discs. I think only the original MFSL edition is better by a small margin.
There are many digital "discs" to sift through...
Even better than the DSD?
Yes, but I cannot do a direct comparison and the DAC and amp I am listening with now reproduce better sound than the SACD player I used to listen to the SACD of the album.
In your profile, there are (2) very good CD spinners. Which SACD player do you own?
Haven't updated my profile in years; but in answer to your question a preowned Marantz SA-14 for SACD only.
Yes, that is a good player.
