whatever - the CD sounds great!
Someday EMI/Capitol (or Chase or Exxon or BP or Oracle) WILL put
ALL the Beatles tracks out at whatever the highest rez of the moment is. Again.
If necessary they will INVENT or at least lease proprietary technology in order to
resell The Beatles catalog.
They will NEVER be done repackaging, re-issuing, re-marketing,
but most importantly RE-SELLING the Beatles catalog.
NEVER!
Ever!

I wonder how much of it is just due to the fact that Paul McCartney is not warm to the idea of hi-res. I'm sure Yoko Ono is Mrs. No.
Repackaging? I find it interesting that the only way you can get a Pink Floyd 24/96 album is to buy a $150 Immersion box set. Might The Beatles do something similar? Is a super duper Beatles album worth $150 to you?

Big speakers and little amps blew my mind!
Have all the Beatles UK LPs (early pressings) and the CD mono box and the CD stereo re-issues as
well as a few 45's and EPs. I'm set for this life and certainly NOT the demographic for future
re-issues of their material, no matter the format.

For music of this generation, clean early (first) pressings of the vinyl is probably the best that can be done.
I'll never have this problem, but if they did ever offer The Beatles in 24/192, even at exorbitant prices, then I would have to seriously consider it.
