Nicely done. Detail is there, but subtle. There's more space between the instruments; that is, it's easier to pick out individual components, but it doesn't hit you over the head like many current (compressed) remasters do. Bass is extended and natural-sounding.
Compared to the recent Sony two-cd set (which I bought for the live disc), it sounds wider, smoother, and more relaxed. Sounds more like music, less like a recording, if you know what I mean.

Many Thanks! Radio-
I own the 1st Japan original 2-CD set of greatest hits I & II- very good to excellent sounding discs.
I was hoping that the MoFi makes these already excellent -sounding discs, better, especially, "Captain Jack".
A standout on the MoFi - the remaster adds tremendous bite and attack to the bass and lead guitars. Great contrast between the crunch and aggression of the chorus and the 'driftiness' of the verses. The dynamics are worlds better than the original (I've had an early promo copy of the LP since its release).
Very sweet! It is a wonder how/why BJ got Larry Carlton to play on this album. He is sublime on "Captain Jack".
Looks like this edition is from 2011.
